Dec 27, 2025 9:09 AM

Versant is bolstering its communications team ahead of its spinoff from NBCUniversal.

Amanda Cary and Jamie Palatini, both industry veterans, will join the company as vps of communications. Cary will oversee comms for the companys entertainment portfolio which includes cable channels USA Network, E!, Syfy and Oxygen and digital properties Rotten Tomatoes and Fandango while Palatini will head up sports comms. Both will report to Erin Calhoun, senior vp entertainment and sports communications.

Cary comes to Versant from Paramount, where she was most recently senior vp entertainment publicity, heading up PR efforts for Showtime and Paramount+ (and where she worked with Calhoun, also a Paramount alum). During her time at Paramount and Showtime, Cary worked on campaigns for series including Yellowjackets, Billions, Twin Peaks: The Return and Fellow Travelers, among other shows. Prior to Paramount, she previously worked at USA and Bravo.

Palatini has been with NBC Sports for more than a decade and will move to the spinoff company to head up communications for Golf Channel, its related properties and other sports at Versant (including the WNBA and League One Volleyball). While at NBC, Palatini led strategic communications and was a key liaison for on-air talent across NBC Sports properties, including the Olympics, golf coverage on NBC and Golf Channel, NASCAR and NBCs NFL pregame show Football Night in America.
