UTA has hired Shelley Lewis as vp of communications.

Lewis comes to the Hollywood talent, entertainment, sports and advisory company after a stint as communications head for Caruso. Before that, she worked for a decade heading up communications at Wasserman, Casey Wassermans management firm that completed around 15 acquisitions during her tenure.

Shelley brings a proven record of delivering articulate and impactful communications for both external and internal audiences, Richard Siklos, UTAs chief communications officer, said in a statement on Thursday about hiring the seasoned exec. Lewis, based at UTAs Beverly Hills headquarters, joins the Hollywood agency after a series of its own acquisitions and strategic partnerships, including Rich Pauls KLUTCH Sports Group, MediaLink and UK-based Curtis Brown Group. Last month UTA acquired European soccer talent agency ROOF to bolster its sports divisions.

ROOF will work closely with Pauls Klutch Sports Group, which already represents a number of top names in the NBA, WNBA, NFL and MLB, all sports with global aspirations of their own. UTA also pushed further into the marketing sector by acquiring JUV Consulting, a company that specializes in connecting brands with Gen Z and youth culture.

JUVs clients include Google, Unilever, Converse, E.L.F. Beauty, Lionsgate, and that deal followed UTA acquiring MediaLinkfor $125 million in 2021. UTA last year also opened new offices in London and Atlanta.

Lewis began her career at boutique PR agency The Thomas Collective. She also served as executive communications lead at NetApp, the data storage company.
