Shareef O’Neal, Son of Shaq, Signs With Wasserman
Shareef O’Neal, Son of Shaq, Signs With Wasserman-December 2024
Dec 27, 2025 11:33 AM

Shareef ONeal, son of NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille ONeal, has signed with Wasserman.

The sports, music and entertainment talent management firm will partner with ONeal to expand his opportunities beyond basketball at the intersection of sports and the creator economy. ONeal will work with Wassermans marketing, media and entertainment divisions, with Jamie Stein and Matt Massimino from The Montag Group overseeing his representation.

As I step into this next chapter and focus on building an empire beyond the court, Wasserman was the obvious choice, ONeal said in a statement on Tuesday. Im grateful for their belief in me and excited to push boundaries and create a legacy that goes far beyond the game. ONeal played NCAA mens college basketball for four years, but his college career was impacted by injuries and health concerns. In 2018, he underwent surgery to repair a congenital heart defect at age 18 years, before continuing his basketball career.

But now ONeal wants to build a legacy around sports and away from the basketball court, including by following his father and raising his Hollywood game. Shareef has a compelling voice and represents the next generation of basketball and entertainment culture. Im excited to work with Shareef and his team to grow his brand across the sports media landscape, Wassermans Jamie Stein added.

ONeals push into the entertainment space via Wasserman follows other hoops stars making significant forays into film and TV, including launching their own production banners.

ONeal was recently announced as the creative strategist for the Shaq Brand, where he will lead efforts to bring a fresh vision that bridges sports, culture, and next-generation storytelling. Later this year, he will expand in the digital media space by hosting a panel at TwitchCon around streaming, gaming and sports.

ONeal will continue to be managed by Deion Joseph Turner of The Dime Agency.
