Rania Attieh and Daniel Garcia, the writers and directors behind the AFM-bound Queen of the Falls crime caper, have signed with Gersh for representation in all areas.
Their latest project has brought on board Pedro Almodvars El Deseo banner as a co-producer.Queen of the Falls has The Last Showgirl star Pamela Anderson and Guy Pearce as leads playing two lovers on the run as they speed towards Niagara Falls in a music-driven romance tale.
Attieh and Garcia as writers, directors and editors were nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for their earlier film H., a Sundance title about two Helens of Troy (one in Troy and the other in New York State) that muse about motherhood as the world around themfalls apart.
The filmmaker duo were also behind Initials SG, a film about an aging Argentine who models himself as Serge Gainsbourg and is struggling with a career he cant seem to get on track. The drama won the Nora Ephron Award at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2019.
Attieh and Garcia more recently directed a block of episodes of Peacocks The Resort. Their other film credits include the shortTripoli, Quiet,and OK, Enough, Goodbye, a low budget comedy about an overgrown mamas boy of 40 years suddenly forced to construct a life on his own, and starring Daniel Arzrouni and Nadime Attieh.
