Naveen Chopra Exits as Paramount Global CFO-August 2024
Aug 26, 2025 2:58 PM

Paramount Global CFO Naveen Chopra is exiting the company to pursue other opportunities. Andrew Warren, currently a strategic advisor to Paramounts three-headed Office of the CEO and a former CFO at Discovery Communications, will step in on an interim basis.

Warren will be executive vice president and interim chief financial officer. Hes been around to advise George Cheeks, Chris McCarthy and Brian Robbins on CEO matters.

We thank Naveen for his leadership role during a dynamic period of transformation and growth, Cheeks, McCarthy and Robbins, the co-CEOs, said in a statement. We are excited to partner with Andy, who has been our strategic advisor, in his new, expanded role as interim CFO and we are confident that his deep financial expertise and familiarity with our business make him exceptionally well-suited to step into this position. Warren has also served as CFO of STX Entertainment and the NBCU Television Group.

One by one, top Paramount Global executives are going down, making way for David Ellison and his Skydance to take over and set up his own leadership team. Cheeks, McCarthy and Robbins together replaced Bob Bakish, the companys former president and CEO. Jeff Shell, the former NBCUniversal CEO, will be president of Skydance Paramount when it becomes official.

Lately, the most high-profile exits from Paramount Global has been within its news division. Shortly after longtime 60 Minutes executive producer Bill Owens bailed over the companys interference in the newsmagazine shows coverage of President Trumps administration, Owens boss, Wendy McMahon, followed suit.

Owens said at the time that he was no longer able to make independent decisions. Trump had sued CBS News over a 60 Minutes interview with his 2024 opponent Kamala Harris.

Its become clear that the company and I do not agree on the path forward, McMahon said in a memo to staff last month. Its time for me to move on and for this organization to move forward with new leadership.I have spent the last few months shoring up our businesses and making sure the right leaders are in place; and I have no doubt they will continue to set the standard.

The Skydance-Paramount merger is still pending regulatory review.
