Former CNN anchor Don Lemon is suing Elon Musk and his social platform X, alleging a breach of contract and misappropriation of Lemons name and likeness, among other claims.

Lemon sued Musk and X in a San Francisco court on Thursday, according to a copy of the complaint.

Lemon, of course, signed a deal with X to host a show on the platform (other hosts announced at the time including Jim Rome and Tulsi Gabbard). The first episode was set to be an interview with Musk, however after the contentious interview, Musk announced that he was canceling the deal.

This case is straightforward. X executives used Don to prop up their advertising sales pitch, then canceled their partnership and dragged Dons name through the mud, said Lemons attorney Carney Shegerian. You dont have to be a genius to see the fraud, negligence, and reputational damage here. Don is an accomplished and hard-hitting journalist whos committed to defending his good name and holding Xs executives accountable. We look forward to our day in court.
