Buchwald has tapped Flora Huang as its new chief financial officer.
Based in New York City, Huang succeeds Steve Fisher, Buchwalds CFO for 41 years. Fisher will be CFO Emeritus and continues offering guidance to the talent agency.
Floras top-tier experience in finance and strategic operations makes her a tremendous addition to Buchwald. Her leadership and proven ability to drive growth will be key as we evolve the agency and strengthen our impact in an ever-changing entertainment landscape, the agencys Julia Buchwald and Ryan Martin said in a statement on Wednesday. Huang was most recently international CFO at AMC Networks, where her focus was on Europe and Latin America amid the companys global streaming expansion. That included the launch of AMC+ across multiple markets.
Earlier, Huang worked for a decade at Paramount Pictures, rising to vp of finance and planning. She is a licensed chartered accountant who started out at Deloitte and is currently co-chair of the NextGen board of directors for the Motion Picture Television Fund.
Buchwald was launched by the late Don Buchwald and five partners in 1977, and today has talent representation offices in New York City and Los Angeles. Buchwald, as a talent agent,was the longtime rep of Howard Stern and other top entertainment industry stars.
The agency represents a roster of clients in the commercial, broadcast, film, theatre, television, literary, feature film packaging, personal appearance, branding/digital and emerging talent spaces.
