She was Liz Fuller, an aspiring manager who had been Miss Great Britain from 1996-97. He was Ron Meyer, at the time the executive vice chairman of NBCUniversal. The romance was brief, running hot and then quickly going very cold.

According to Fullers vivid account in a January 2021 email obtained by The Hollywood Reporter, she met Meyer, who was single at the time, for a breakfast on April 19, 2019, at Cecconis in West Hollywood. They had been introduced by Meyers trainer, who had acting ambitions and was Fullers client. In her email, Fuller described what appears to have been her one night of lovemaking with Meyer as passionate and sexy. I was literally putty and vulnerable in his company. Before long, however, she would be feeling played. Fuller wrote her account of the relationship several months after Meyer was ousted from NBCU. Hollywood was stunned when Meyer disclosed that he had paid money to settle difficulties arising from his sexual entanglement with another British woman with big show business dreams: the then-28-year-old actress Charlotte Kirk. She had become involved with Meyer years earlier, after meeting him when she was 19.

Meyer was not the only high-level industry executive to fall because of an affair with Kirk: A year earlier, THR had revealed that Kevin Tsujihara, the married CEO of Warner Bros., engaged in a liaison with her and then pushed his subordinates to find her acting roles. Tsujihara resigned in March 2019.

When Meyers career at Universal ended, The New York Times reported that Kirks then-manager, Shannon Pierce, asked whether the aspiring actress could get paid for an interview. (The answer was no.) But Pierce no longer is Kirks manager. On Nov. 12, Fuller posted on Instagram: Excited to be working with the exceptional Charlotte Kirk! Perhaps single-handedly the leading up and coming bad ass. How the two women came together is unclear; Kirk didnt respond to a request for comment, and when contacted, Fuller promptly hung up the phone. But two days later, a woman who said she is a friend of Fullers but declined to give her name reached out to say that Fuller no longer is Kirks manager. (This is news to her agent.)

Fuller apparently wrote the email describing her brief affair as she was seeking legal representation, presumably to initiate an action against Meyer. Entertainment attorney David Berke confirms that he was contacted by a third party to gauge his interest in representing Fuller. After a brief review of the email, he declined. The possible basis for a claim is unclear; its also not clear whether Fuller found another lawyer, though the anonymous friend who contacted THR says Fuller has no interest in pursuing legal action against anyone. Meyer declined to comment on his relationship with Fuller.

Fullers website indicates that she got into management in 2018. According to her account in the email, Meyer called her after his trainer recommended her, saying he heard that the trainer had the best manager who is also the hottest manager in town. Fuller wrote that when they went to breakfast two days later, she thought it would be a business meeting. But later that day, Meyer called and asked her to dinner.

They met at The Ivy at about 6 p.m. He flirted and gave me the impression he was looking for love and to date me seriously. He reassured me he was the nicest guy in town, that age didnt matter [Fuller was in her mid-40s, Meyer his mid-70s] and handed over the [James Andrew Miller] CAA Powerhouse book so I could read up on who he was, she continued. Then they went to Meyers apartment and watched Avengers: Endgame. Fuller wrote he gave me the impression he was a gentleman and again he reassured me he was not a player. After Meyer fell asleep holding her hand during the movie, she went home.

The next week, she continued, he called her from a private jet and said hed love to go to London on the jet sometime in the future. He really dropped that as a hook to impress me, and boy was I impressed, she wrote. For the time being, he offered her tickets to the Universal theme park.

Meyer then called her from New York saying he had gotten a call from Page Six to confirm that he was dating Fuller. She said she didnt know what Page Six was. By her account, she didnt want to go public at that point: I made a joke that the newspapers no doubt would lead with me being a former Miss Great Britain beauty queen and most likely would not favor me.

On April 28, they met at Caffe Delfini for dinner and then went to Meyers nearby apartment. He presented her with a wishbone necklace designed by his daughter Jennifer Meyer (the 18K version sells for $1,200 at Neiman Marcus) and C The Moon body scrub, a product backed by another one of his daughters ($64 on the Violet Grey website). I felt reassured he was amazing and serious, she wrote later. We watched a planet movie I think it was Our Planet. He fell asleep, then woke up, we started kissing and he grabbed me and led me to the bedroom. Fuller was stunned when she saw that Meyer was covered with tattoos wow not like the corporate man I expected.

After what she described as some dazzling lovemaking, Fuller went to the bathroom and saw a cupboard to my right and opened it. It was full of Malibu-made body scrubs, the same he had given to me. I thought thats strange how many he has. Maybe he has a partnership in this company.

Meyer called her the next day, saying they should get together the following weekend. But then she checked in with the trainer. He came forward and said he had trained [Meyer] that morning and some actress had walked out of the bedroom at 6 am. I said wow who was she? He said shes a famous brunette in her 30s and in Universal films but wouldnt say who. Fuller wrote that she was floored, but the trainer told her she had been a fool and that he would tell Meyer that as I was an emotional family values girl it was best we didnt date anymore as he wasnt serious.

Meyer called the next day, she continued. He told me I was a blonde beauty queen and that he thought I was a fun time girl. I got very upset and asked how he ever got that impression. She then accused him of trying to lure her in with his talk of travel on a private jet. He insisted he had never said that and never brought the Universal studios corporate jet into it, she wrote. I found out it wasnt his personal jet at this Moment. The conversation took a dark turn, she wrote: He then threaded [sic] me and said he had the largest hammer in this town and could bring it down on me at anytime.

As a fledgling manager, Fuller wrote, that seemed to be check mate. Still, she demanded an in-person apology. Meyer met her at Cecconis for breakfast again, arriving 30 minutes late and, according to her account, staying only 20 minutes. But she said he apologized and offered her a casual sex relationship, which she declined. For the next 18 months, she emailed him ideas for TV shows and asked him to help her trainer client.

She heard from him again in June 2020. This time, she wrote, his energy was different. He connected her with a leading management firm where she had hoped to work, though that turned out to be a dead end. Weeks later, Meyer was ousted at NBCU. Thats when I realized the way he treated me may not be a one off, she wrote. But she said she didnt come forward at the time because I was only one person who would not be believed and he had said to me he was the mayor of Hollywood. Her story ended there, though she claimed in closing that she had received calls from the Daily Mail and The Wall Street Journal.

At this point, Kirk is still seeking to collect the bulk of the $2 million that Meyer had committed to pay her. As for Fuller, it appears she wont even have the consolation of collecting whatever commissions she could have made as Kirks manager.
