Ron Howard, Mike Bloomberg and Faiza J. Saeed are set to receive the Paley Center for Medias Paley Honors Award.

The illustrious prize, recognizing the the trios individual contributions to media, is the Paley Centers highest honor and will be presented at a gala event in New York next month, where each of the honorees will be recognized with video highlights of their media achievements and tributes from colleagues and other media figures.

Each of this years recipients represents the very best across media, entertainment and business, Paley CEO and president Maureen J. Reidy said in a statement. Actor, writer, director and producer Howards credits include The Andy Griffith Show, Happy Days, Arrested Development, Parenthood, Apollo 13 and the Oscar-winning A Beautiful Mind. Howard and Brian Grazers Imagine Entertainment was recently behind The Super Models, The Dynasty: New England Patriots and Genius, the latest installment of which focuses on Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X. He serves as director and producer of the documentary Jim Henson: Idea Man, premiering on Disney+ on May 31 and hes also directing and producing the upcoming Eden film starring Sydney Sweeney, Ana de Armas, Vanessa Kirby, Jude Law and Daniel Brhl.

Its a great honor to receive this award from the Paley Center. One of the fascinating elements of both entertainment and media is the power it has to shape our culture and society, and its been a great privilege of my life to play a role in that conversation, said Howard in a statement.

Former three-term New York City Mayor Bloomberg is known for the eponymous media and information technology company he launched in the 1980s. Bloomberg also founded Bloomberg Philanthropies, which addresses such issues as climate change, public health, education and gun violence. The Paley award is the second prestigious honor hes received recently, being recognized with the Presidential Medal of Freedom on Friday.

For almost 50 years, the Paley Center has been shaping conversations around the media and its power to positively impact our world, Bloomberg said in a statement. Ive been glad to support its critical work, from bringing together leaders to tackle our toughest challenges including the spread of misinformation to supporting the media protections and traditions that are so vital to a free society.

Power lawyer Saeed has advised industry leaders on some of the biggest, industry-shaping media deals in recent years, including Disneys acquisition of 21st Century Fox, Viacoms merger with CBS and Time Warners acquisition by ATT. She currently serves as presiding partner at Cravath, Swaine Moore, the first woman to hold the role in the firms more than 200-year history.

The Paley Center plays a critical role in celebrating the dynamism of the media industry, preserving its history and exploring the significant impact it has on culture and society. It is an honor to support its work and to be recognized as part of this special event, said Faiza J. Saeed.

The Paley Honors will take place on Thursday, June 13 at Cipriani 42nd Street in Manhattan.
