Its official: Zendaya and Robert Pattinsons new movie, The Drama, is indeed a romantic-comedy.
A24 confirmed the long-gestating rumors on Friday when announcing that the movie will walk down the aisle and into theaters on April 3, 2026.
Beyond the fact that its a rom-com, exact plot details continue to be kept under wraps, although the storyline is suggested to be about a couple whose romance takes an unexpected and dramatic turn just before their big day.
The Drama is written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli, whose previous credits include the Golden Globe-nominated Dream Scenario, starring Nicholas Cage. His new film, which finished shooting late last year, also stars Alana Haim, Mamoudou Athie and Hailey Gates in addition to Zendaya and Pattinson. Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen are producing The Drama through their Square Peg banner alongside Kristoffer Borgli and Tyler Campellone of Dilemma Films, and in collaboration with A24.
A24 and Square Peg are frequent collaborators: additional titles theyve worked on include Borglis Dream Scenario; Death of a Unicorn, starring Paul Rudd and Jenna Ortega; and the Aster-directed Eddington that stars Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, Emma Stone and Austin Butler. The two companies were also behind Hereditary and Midsommar.
