Health Risks

Exposure to VOCs emitted by adhesives or sealants can lead to various health issues, including:

  • Irritation of the Respiratory System: Inhalation of VOCs can irritate the nose, throat, and lungs, causing symptoms such as coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath. Prolonged exposure may lead to the development of respiratory conditions like asthma.
  • Allergic Reactions: Some individuals may be sensitive or allergic to certain VOCs present in adhesives or sealants. Contact with these substances can result in skin rashes, itching, and dermatitis.
