Chicago nabs the 2024 Democratic National Convention and Governor J.B. Pritzker promises the state won’t lose money. But will he bankroll the event himself?

Former Commonwealth Edison CEO Anne Pramaggiore takes the stand in her own defense in the trial of the so called “ComEd Four,” as prosecutors tie her to an alleged bribery scheme led by former Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan.

Meanwhile, Walmart closes four stores across the city as Mayor-elect Brandon Johnson vows he will work to replace them.
