FX is developing a comedy titled Very Young Frankenstein, inspired by Mel Brooks 1974 comedy classic Young Frankenstein. Brooks is among the projects executive producers along with producing partner Kevin Salter and three alumni of FXs What We Do in the Shadows Stefani Robinson (who will serve as showrunner should the project move forward), Taika Waititi and Garrett Basch. Disneys 20th Television is the studio (forerunner 20th Century Fox released the film). Michael Gruskoff, who produced the film, is also an EP.
