U.S. Postal Service officials are offering rewards for information after multiple mail carriers have been robbed at gunpoint in and around Chicago in recent weeks.

Anyone with information about this robbery can contact the USPS at 877-876-2455 and use the case number 3681116.

In the West Town incident, a 53-year-old man was walking in the 2500 block of West Chicago Avenue just after 4 p.m. when he was approached by an unknown person who produced a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. According to Chicago police, the victim complied and the offender then fled the area.

A spokesperson for the USPS Inspection Service has since confirmed that victim was a mail carrier, as were two other victims who were robbed in Chicago Tuesday in the 900 block of West Belden and the 1400 block of North Cleaver.

The USPS announced another $50,000 reward after another mail carrier was robbed near the intersection of South Seely & West 99th Street in Chicago last month.
