Business managers in Hollywood work with coteries of lawyers, agents and assistants in the employ of the towns filmmakers, entertainers and movers and shakers to project earnings from potential projects, endorsements, brand launches, appearances and other forms of revenue. They then run point overseeing millions of dollars in investments, assets and bank accounts that go to fuel celebrities lifestyles: Any time you see, say, a multimillion-dollar real estate purchase by an A-lister, a business manager has vetted it and advised for (or against) it. Whenever a new star breaks through with their first big pay day, or an influencer develops a pernicious spending habit, a tough conversation needs to be had about reining it in and investing for future financial turmoil and its often Hollywoods top business managers who are on the other end of the phone.
