Da people have spoken and Da Plow is one of da big winners in Chicago’scontest to name its snowplows.

Here are the top seven vote-getters (there was a near-tie for sixth):

— Mrs. O’Leary’s Plow

— Da Plow

— Salter Payton

— Sears Plower

— Sleet Home Chicago

— Holy Plow!

— Jean Baptiste Point du Shovel

Nearly 7,000 names were originally submitted in the contest. Officials whittled the pool of nominees down to50 finalistsand the winners rose to the top of more than 80,000 votes cast.

Signs will be installed on seven snowplows and, assuming it ever snows again this winter, the lineup will hit the streets. People can follow the progress of their favorite on the city’s plow tracker site.

Our bet’s on Salter Payton as the fastest of the fleet.
