The animated feature adaptation of The Lunar Chronicles has set a launch date.

Warner Bros. has slated director Nolle Raffaeles movie for theaters on Nov. 3, 2028. The film adapts author Marissa Meyers best-selling novel series that focuses on a futuristic fairy tale universe.

Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and Locksmith Animation are behind the project that has a script credited to Lindsey Ferrentino and writing partners Kalen Egan and Travis Sentell. Christina Steinberg serves as producer.

It takes a team of true visionaries to bring a world as rich and daring as The Lunar Chronicles to life. This is the kind of story that feels like it was waiting for just the right moment and the right people to be told. Its thrilling, emotional, and completely unlike anything weve seen before, Warner Bros. Animation president Bill Damaschke and Locksmith Animation CEO Natalie Fischer said in a joint statement. Were incredibly proud and cant wait for audiences to experience it in 2028.

The Lunar Chronicles is the second feature collaboration between Warner Bros. Pictures Animation and Locksmith Animation. It follows the forthcoming movie Bad Fairies, which hits theaters in July of 2027.
