The end is in sight for The Conners.
ABC has set a March 26 premiere date for the comedys seventh and final season. The Conners is ending with an abbreviated, six-episode run; ABC announced the final season in May 2024.
The show will take up its usual 8 p.m. Wednesday time period for the final episodes. That spots current occupant, Shifting Gears, is scheduled to conclude its first season on March 19.
Season seven will bring the series to a total of 112 episodes, an increasingly rare accomplishment for a network comedy series. Only one other current live-action broadcast comedy CBS The Neighborhood has more than 100 episodes to its name. (Foxs animated stalwarts The Simpsons, Family Guy and Bobs Burgers are also long past that mark.) The Conners a spinoff of ABCs 2018 Roseanne revival that was canceled after one season following racist remarks by star Roseanne Barr has been a solid performer throughout its run. It has ended each of its six seasons as ABCs most watched comedy in Nielsens linear ratings (i.e., not including streaming). Season six averaged 4.11 million viewers over seven days.
Roseanne regulars John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Sara Gilbert and Lecy Goranson star in The Conners along with Emma Kenney, Ames McNamara, Jayden Ray, Jay R. Ferguson and Katey Sagal. Werner Entertainment produces the series; Tom Werner, Gilbert, Bruce Helford, Dave Caplan, Bruce Rasmussen and Tony Hernandez are the executive producers.
