  The sweetness of peaches and sugar snap peas makes them pair up quite well. A bit of seasoning sends the duo down a chutney path.

  

Ingredients

serves 4

  1/2 cup chopped peeled fresh peaches

  1 tablespoon cider vinegar

  1 tablespoon chopped yellow onion

  1 tablespoon golden raisins

  1/2 teaspoon grated peeled fresh ginger

  1 teaspoon cane syrup

  1/2 teaspoon grated lemon zest

  1 garlic clove, minced

  1/4 teaspoon mustard seeds

  1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes

  Pinch of ground cinnamon

  Pinch of ground cloves

  Pinch of ground allspice

  4 cups sugar snap peas (1 pound), trimmed

  Combine the peaches, vinegar, onion, raisins, ginger, cane syrup, lemon zest, garlic, mustard seeds, red pepper flakes, cinnamon, cloves, and allspice in a large bowl. Cover and microwave on high for 1 minute. Add the peas, cover, and cook on high for 2 minutes or until the peas are tender.
