State Rep. Ford Pleads Guilty-February 2024

In a sweeping reversal, federal prosecutors drop the 17 most serious charges against four-term West Side legislator La Shawn Ford. The state representative admitted he misstated the value of a property and told the IRS it was worth more. For that indiscretion, Ford has agreed to plead guilty to one misdemeanor tax charge.
