There was political fallout in the statehouse Wednesday after WBEZ reported on a damning email sent by a top ally of Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan, who was reportedly caught up in a federal criminal probe.

In that email, former state lobbyist Mike McClain references what appears to be a rape cover-up. It has Madigan, as well the #MeToo movement, responding Wednesday.
