Spencer Lofranco, ‘Gotti’ and ‘Unbroken’ Actor, Dies at 33-December 2024

Spencer Lofranco, star of the true crime drama Gotti and Angelina Jolies war drama Unbroken, has died. He was 33 years old.

Santino LoFranco announced his brothers Nov. 18 death in an emotional Instagram post on Thursday: You lived a life only some could dream of. You changed people lives, and now you are with God. I will always love you and miss you Bear. RIP. October 18, 1992 November 18, 2025.

The British Columbia Coroners Office on Friday confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that a formal investigation into Lofrancos death had got underway. No additional comment was offered by a spokesperson for the B.C. Coroners service, which is called in to help establish a cause of death, as the investigation remains open. Lofranco was born on Oct. 18, 1992 in Toronto and he first appeared in the 2013 romantic comedy At Middleton, which also starred Andy Garcia, Vera Farmiga and Taissa Farmiga. Directed by Adam Rodgers, the indie sees Garcia plays George, a mild-mannered heart surgeon tagging along with his teenage son (Lofranco) on a tour of the campus at Middleton College.

Lofranco then starred in the 2014 crime drama Jamesey Boy, where he played James Burns in the troubled kid tale. Mary-Louise Parker, Ving Rhames and James Woods supported Lofranco in the lead role.

Lofranco also played Harry Brooks in Angelina Jolies 2014 war drama Unbroken, and in his last credited role he played John Travoltas on-screen son, John A. Gotti, in the 2018 drama Gotti.
