Quick Strawberry Jam Recipe-February 2024

Ingredients

Makes about 1 1/4cups

  1 lb strawberries, trimmed and halved

  2/3 to 3/4cup sugar

  2 tablespoons powdered fruit pectin

  2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice

  

Step 1

Mash strawberries in a large bowl with a potato masher or a fork.

  

Step 2

Stir together berries, sugar, pectin, and lemon juice in a 12-inch nonstick skillet and boil until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes. Transfer to a bowl to cool, then chill, covered, until ready to serve.

  Cooks' note:

  Jam keeps, chilled in an airtight container, 2 weeks.
