Myles Bullock, best known for his appearances on Starzs BMF and Peacocks Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist, has joined the new Prison Break reboot as a series regular.
Hulu and Mayans MC showrunner Elgin James are behind the new iteration of the former Fox series that starredWentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell.
The two are not returning for the new series, which is described as a new take on the concept but set in the same world as the previous show. Emily Browning (American Gods), Lukas Gage (Companion) and Drake Rodger (Landman) are the leads of the new Prison Break. The original show premiered on Fox in 2005 and centered on Michael Scofield (Miller), a structural engineer who commits armed robbery in order to be sentenced to the same prison where his brother, Lincoln Burrows (Purcell) is incarcerated for a crime he didnt commit. Scofield has an elaborate escape plan to free his brother, which eventually pulls in several other inmates.
While the concept or plot for the new take hasnt been revealed, it is understood that Browning is playing an ex-soldier turned corrections officer who takes a job at one of the deadliest prisons in America, while Gage is a politician and Rodger an inmate who is already 10 years into his sentence.
Bullock will play a shot caller in the penitentiary.
James is serving as showrunner and exec producing with Dawn Olmstead, original show creator Paul Scheuring, Marty Adelstein and Neal H. Moritz.
Bullock has appeared on shows such as Marvels Runaways, Criminal Minds, and S.W.A.T.and features such as 20th Century Studios remake of White Men Cant Jump.
In Fight Night, Peacocks true crime limited series, he starred alongside with Samuel L. Jackson, Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson and Dexter Darden. The show was based on the hit iHeartPodcasts series and chronicles the infamous armed robbery that unfolded during Muhammad Alis historic 1970 comeback fight.
