PB&J Oatmeal Recipe
PB&J Oatmeal Recipe-February 2024
Feb 11, 2026 5:43 PM

What kid (big or small) doesn’t love peanut butter and jelly? Well, here’s an adult twist on the combination that incorporates all the health benefits of oatmeal and still allows you to enjoy this classic comfort combo. And the kids will love it, too!

Ingredients

makes 1 (about 1-cup) serving

  1 cup water

  Pinch salt

  1/2 cup old-fashioned oats

2 teaspoons all-natural creamy peanut butter

  1 1/2 tablespoons strawberry 100% fruit preserves

Step 1

Combine the water and salt in a small nonstick saucepan. Place it over high heat and bring the mixture to a rapid boil. Add the oats and turn the heat to medium. Cook the oats 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the liquid is almost absorbed. Cover the pan and remove it from the heat. Allow it to sit 5 minutes, and then stir in the peanut butter and preserves. Serve immediately.
