NBC has delivered a favorable verdict to Night Court.

The network has picked up a third season of its comedy series, a revival of/sequel to the 1984-92 show of the same name. Night Court is the first of NBCs three current comedies to earn a spot on the 2024-25 schedule; decisions have yet to be made on Lopez vs. Lopez and Extended Family. NBC also has one new comedy, St. Denis Medical, on tap for next season, and a pilot called Happys Place starring Reba McEntire.

Night Court averaged 3.73 million viewers in Nielsens seven-day linear ratings for its second season down a good amount from its return in 2023 but still ranking as NBCs most watched comedy. As with most scripted shows, it picks up a substantial audience boost via streaming; NBC didnt provide detailed figures (as is usually the case with streaming) but said 24 million people have watched at least a couple minutes of Night Court across all platforms this season. Melissa Rauch stars in the series as Abby Stone, the daughter of Judge Harry Stone (Harry Anderson in the original series) who has followed her dad in presiding over a night court in Manhattan. John Larroquette reprises his Emmy-winning role from the earlier show as attorney Dan Fielding; India de Beaufort, Lacretta and Nyambi Nyambi also star.

Warner Bros. Television produces Night Court with Rauchs After January Productions and Universal Television. Dan Rubin, Rauch, Winston Rauch and Larroquette are the executive producers.
