Netflixs star-studded series The Four Seasons is set to join the already crowded spring TV calendar.

The series, starring and co-created by Tina Fey, is set to premiere May 1. The show is an adaptation of the 1981 movie written, directed by and starring Alan Alda (whos a producer and guest star of the new version) and centers on three couples played by Fey and Will Forte, Steve Carell and Kerri Kenney-Silver, and Colman Domingo and Marco Calvani who vacation together and are thrown when one of the couples announces theyre divorcing. Along with announcing the premiere date, Netflix released a teaser for the show; watch it below.

Netflix won a bidding war for the series (which was a hot commodity coming out of 2023s labor strikes) and gave the show a straight-to-series order in early 2024. Universal Television, where Fey and her Little Stranger company are based, produces The Four Seasons.

Erika Henningsen (Girls5Eva) is also part of the regular cast. Guest stars include Alda, Julia Lester, Ashlyn Maddox, Jacob Buckenmyer, Taylor Ortega, Simone Recasner, Toby Edward Huss, Tommy Do , Chloe Troast, Jack Gore and Cole Tristan Murphy.

The Four Seasons joins a host of potential Emmy Award contenders premiering in the final weeks of the 2024-25 eligibility period, which ends May 31. Other series debuting in April and May include Hacks, The Handmaids Tale, Andor, Black Mirror, The Last of Us, toile and Poker Face (though the latter wont complete its run by the end of May).

Fey, Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield co-created The Four Seasons and are co-showrunners and writers. They executive produce with David Miner, Jeff Richmond and Eric Gurian; Alda and Marissa Bregman, daughter of the 1981 films producer, Martin Bregman, are producers. Robert Pulcini and Shari Springer Berman directed the first two episodes; Oz Rodriguez, Richmond, Colman Domingo and Fisher also directed.
