Jason Isaacs, the veteran British actor who is currently starring on the third installment of HBOs hit limited series The White Lotus, will receive the Miami Film Festivals Precious Gem Award on Thursday, April 10, at 7:30 p.m. ET, at Miami Dade Colleges Chapman Center in downtown Miami, the MDC-hosted fest announced on Monday.
Isaacs, 61, will be presented with the prize which is designated for one-of-a-kind artists whose contributions to cinema are lasting and unforgettable, and has previously been awarded to Pedro Almodvar, Penlope Cruz, Isabelle Huppert, Rita Moreno, Sheryl Lee Ralph and Sebastian Stan immediately following a career-retrospective interview that will be recorded in front of a festival audience for subsequent airing on The Hollywood Reporters Awards Chatter podcast, moderated by yours truly. Isaacs has been nominated for Golden Globe, BAFTA, SAG, International Emmy, Critics Choice and London Critics Circle awards, and has won Spirit, Empire and Satellite awards. He is best known for his roles on the big screen in theHarry Potterseries,The Death of Stalin, Black Hawk DownandThe Patriot, and on the small screen in Sex Education, The OA, The Great,The West WingandEntourage. His upcoming projects include the film The Salt Path, which will also be screening at the Miam Film Festival.

The 2025 edition of the Miami Film Festival will take place from April 3-13. Isaacs joins previously announced honorees including Julie Delpy (Impact Award), Mark Duplass (Impact Award), Paul Feig (Precious GEM), Melanie Lynskey (Precious GEM), Roger Ross Williams (Impact Award) and Billy Zane (Art of Light Award).
The fest will also screen over 198 narratives, documentaries and short films from over 45 countries worldwide, including 35 world premieres, two international premieres, nine North American premieres, three U.S. premieres, 21 east coast premieres and 72 Florida premieres.
