Marvel’s ‘VisionQuest’ Enlists Composer Mick Giacchino (Exclusive)-May 2024
May 23, 2026 1:13 AM

VisionQuest has uploaded a composer for Marvels show starring Paul Bettany as the erstwhile Avenger. Mick Giacchino is the maestro on the series, which bows later this year and completes a TV trilogy that began with 2021s WandaVision and also includes 2024s Agatha All Along.

Giacchino is no stranger to the comic book space. He won an Emmy for his work on DC and HBOs The Penguin after working on additional music for The Batman, scored by his father, Marvel mainstay Michael Giacchino. He also scored Disney and Lucasfilms The Skeleton Key, with his work including Disneys The Muppets Mayhem, AMC+s That Dirty Black Bag and Disneys Zootopia+. Giacchino began his career with Jim Hensons Turkey Hollow in 2015. VisionQuest hails from showrunner Terry Matalas, known for Picard. It also stars James Spader, reprising his role as Ultron from Avengers: Age of Ultron, the movie which introduced the world to Bettanys Vision. Bettany is one of the longest-serving members of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, beginning with the voice of Tony Starks AI Jarvis in 2008s Iron Man before making the jump to live-action with Ultron. The character last appeared in WandaVision, the show that kicked off Marvel Studios foray into television, as well as in the animated What If?

As for Giacchino, he will preview the main theme for VisionQuest with a full orchestra on May 16 at the Polands Krakw FMF International TV Series Gala, where he will also perform some of his score for The Penguin, with composers for shows such as Bridgerton, White Lotus and Yellowstone also appearing at hte festival, which is expected to draw 15,000 audience members.
