Lionsgate Marketing Shake-Up: Justin Manfredi to Oversee TV Group as Suzy Feldman Retires-December 2024

The Lionsgate Television Group has named Justin Manfredi as executive vp worldwide TV marketing.

He replaces Suzy Feldman, who joined the studio in 2015 and is retiring after a run overseeing marketing campaigns for hit TV series likeOrange is the New Blackfor Netflix,Ghostsfor CBS and the Power franchise for Starz.

Manfredi joins Lionsgate from Apple TV+, where he served as a head of series marketing and oversaw campaigns for the Lionsgate-producedThe Studio, Ted Lasso,Severance,Shrinking,HijackandChief of War.Manfredi takes the marketing helm at the LionsgateTelevisionGroup, which includes the launch of FAST channels internationally and the sale of series to digital platforms, and will work closely with the studios programming, production and sales teams. I look forward to working with Jimand the whole Lionsgate teamon digital-first campaigns that not only build on the studios established leadership in delivering brand-defining series that cut through the clutter but continue to expand its reach in the exciting world of FAST, AVOD and digital media platforms, Manfredi said in a statement on Wednesday.

He arrives at Lionsgate amid an ongoing industry contraction in the wake of the Peak TV era ending, with belt-tightening among indie suppliers of series.

Manfredi boards Lionsgate after its studios business split from Starz, which acted as an in-house studio for the Lionsgate Television Group. Before joining Apple TV+ in 2021, Manfredi held senior marketing posts at AMC Networks, overseeing campaigns forKilling Eve,Better Call Sauland BBC Earth, and before that at Activision, where he led digital and social campaigns forCall of DutyandGuitar Hero.

Justin draws upon experience at three very different companies Apple, AMC and Activision which makeshim the ideal executive to lead our multifaceted marketing approach to new buyers, platforms and audiences in a changing world, Lionsgate president of worldwide television distribution Jim Packer said in a statement.

We want to thank Suzy Feldman for 10 years of outstanding leadership and contributions to our Lionsgate family, spanning many of the studios biggest hit series. She has earned the admiration and friendship of her colleagues throughout the company, Packer added.
