Disneyis ready to dive in with the full trailer for its live-action remake ofLilo Stitch.

Director Dean Fleischer Camps new version of the 2002 animated movie is set to hit theaters May 23. Its stars include Maia Kealoha as Lilo, Sydney Elizebeth Agudong as Nani, and Kaipot Dudoit as David Kawena. Rounding out the cast areZach Galifianakis,Billy Magnussen, Courtney B. Vance and Hannah Waddingham, alongside original voice starsChris Sanders, Tia Carrere, Amy Hill and Jason Scott Lee.

A previousLilo Stitchtrailer showed the titular blue alien causing no shortage of chaos at the beach. The 2002 feature centers on a Hawaii-based girl named Lilo who adopts a dog that turns out to be a genetically engineered extraterrestrial being with an unfortunate purpose. Sometimes family isnt perfect, Kealoha tells Stitch in the new trailer. That doesnt mean they arent good.

Camp helmed the new film from a script by Chris Kekaniokalani Bright, which is based on the 2002 movie that was co-directed by Sanders and Dean DeBlois. Jonathan Eirich and Dan Lin are producers.

I have been able to see a few things, and I cant tell you what Ive seen, Sanders revealed at the time. But they allowed me to see some peeks of what they wrote, too, and its really cool.
