‘Latino Voices’ Community Conversation: Latinas
‘Latino Voices’ Community Conversation: Latinas-September 2024
Sep 11, 2026 2:22 PM

For Women’s History Month, WTTW News shined a light on Latinas, exploring their history in Chicago and the U.S., the adversity they face and the role they play in their communities.

On Monday, WBEZ host and reporter Araceli Gómez-Aldana moderated the latest edition of our “Chicago Tonight: Latino Voices” community conversation. She was joined by Adela Cepeda, an independent corporate director; Cristina De La Rosa, senior director of programs at the Erie House; and Maria Pesqueira, president of Health Communities Foundation.

Watch the full discussion above.

Gómez-Aldana will host “Chicago Tonight: Latino Voices” on Saturday.

Upcoming event

Next month, join our “Chicago Tonight: Black Voices” community conversation. It’s set for April 26 at 8 p.m. Visit WTTW.com/events to RSVP.
