Pop mashups galore

　　I’m a sucker for a good mashup, the gold standard still standing at Green Day’s “Boulevard Of Broken Dreams” mixed with Oasis’ “Wonderwall.” Recently, my husband turned me on to a few more: “Stayin’ In Black,” with AC/DC and the Bee Gees, and “I Heard It Round And Round The Grapevine” with Marvin Gaye and Ratt. Vintage concert/video offstage heightens all the groups in the various mashups, and you’d be surprised how much a heavy guitar solo aids both efforts. Singular songs just seem so boring to me now.
