Meru

　　How often do you watch a movie that makes your palms sweat? I had that reaction to the terrifyingly beautiful shots in Meru, a documentary (on Netflix) about three mountain climbers attempting a first ascent up that 20,000-foot Himalayan mountain. Come for the death-defying climbs, stay for the human-interest portions about love, loss, and what drives humans to take risks. [Kate Bernot]
