As a new school counselor atGallistel Language Academy, Rogelio Lopez was charged with a big job:finding a way to get a new playground built for Gallistel’s 600-plus students.

Lopez’s appeal to the Chicago Works Community Challenge wound up winning a $1.5 million grant to create anew, state-of-the-art playgroundfor the East Side school.

Lopez gave “Latino Voices” La Ultima Palabra on what he says is the hardest part of any big job, figuring out where to start.
