Feb 12, 2026 3:12 AM

Refreshing and crunchy, this fruit salad makes a good brunch dish with Turkey Sausage Patties (page 166).

Ingredients

Serves 6; 1/2 cup per serving

2 medium Granny Smith apples, cut into 1/4-inch cubes (about 1 1/2 cups)

  1/2 cup sweetened dried cranberries

  1/2 teaspoon grated orange zest

  1/4 cup fresh orange juice

  2 tablespoons chopped pecans, dry-roasted

  1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Step 1

In a medium bowl, stir together all the ingredients. Serve immediately for peak flavor.

Cook’s Tip

Step 2

You can chop the apples up to 2 hours in advance. Stir in 1 to 2 teaspoons of fresh lemon juice to keep them from turning brown.
