Who is Jay Kelly? Thats what George Clooney is trying to figure out in Noah Baumbachs new film, Jay Kelly.

Clooney plays Jay Kelly, a movie star who sets out on a journey of self-discovery with his manager, Ron (Adam Sandler). Throughout the minute-plus teaser, Clooney repeats his name as he appears to question who he is on a deeper level.

What do you say to people who say you only play yourself? a person asks Clooneys character in the teaser, to which he responds, Do you know how difficult it is to be yourself? You try it. The film follows famous movie actor Jay Kelly (George Clooney) and his devoted manager Ron as they embark on a whirlwind and unexpectedly profound journey through Europe. Along the way, both men are forced to confront the choices theyve made, the relationships with their loved ones, and the legacies theyll leave behind, the official logline reads.

The ensemble cast includes Billy Crudup,Laura Dern, Grace Edwards, Stacy Keach, Riley Keough, Patrick Wilson, Nicle Lecky, Thaddea Graham, Jim Broadbent, Eve Hewson, Alba Rohrwacher, Lenny Henry, Josh Hamilton, Greta Gerwig and Emily Mortimer.

Mortimer also co-wrote the screenplay with Baumbach, and David Heyman and Amy Pascal served as producers alongside the filmmaker. Nicholas Britell scored the film.

Jay Kelly is set to make its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival before playing in select theaters starting Nov. 15. It will then arrive on Netflix Dec. 5. Check out more first-look photos of the film below.
