The Garfield Park Conservatory remains closed to visitors this Martin Luther King Jr. Day due to the coronavirus pandemic, so it’s celebrating the late civil rights leader by revisiting its past tributes.

In prior years, the conservatory’s penny pond has been the canvas for staff floriculturalist Gustav Roman, who has created temporary memorials to King using nothing but coins.

The conservatory shared, via social media, some of Roman’s past homages to King and his legacy.
