But now, Bloomberg reports, nationwide appetite for the chicken wing seems to have waned, so the snack is no longer as pricey as it once was. The previously high price led some restaurants and distributers to switch to boneless wings instead. As a result, chicken wing prices have slumped 37-percent from September’s seven-year high of $2.1878 per pound. The price “now sits at a seasonal four-year low.”
