KC Global Media Distribution has acquired exclusive worldwide rights to Eat With Xiami, an 11-episode culinary travel series currently streaming on Chinas Bilibili platform. The deal was announced Tuesday morning at Filmart, Asias leading film and television content market, running March 17-20 in Hong Kong.

Co-hosted by Foodie Xia and Chef Mi, the 22-minute episodes blend street-food exploration with cultural storytelling, with Chef Mi providing culinary context and Foodie Xia bringing an on-camera, curiosity-driven tour guide vibe. The first six episodes explore Chengdus Sichuan cuisine, while later installments expand to Yibin, Chongqing and Tokyo. The series is available in English and Mandarin, with English subtitles, and future episodes are planned to explore additional destinations across Asia. The deal was facilitated by Vancouver-based producer Barbara Lee, founder of the Racial Equity Screen Office (RESO) and the Vancouver Asian Film Festival, among other initiatives. Lee said, We at RESO are thrilled to partner with KC Global Media Distribution to bring Eat with Xiami worldwide, showcasing Canadian-produced content and fostering this CanadaAsia collaboration.

With the rising demand for compelling travel content across Asia particularly in China we believe Eat with Xiami beautifully showcases some of the regions most iconic foodie destinations, added Bonnie Wiryani, head of content sales at KC Global Media Distribution. Our partnership with Xiami Video and Barbara Lee marks the first step toward collaborating with more Asian producers and creatives around the world.

Ernest Ho, Eat with Xiami executive producer, added: This marks an exciting new chapter in our journey, where food opens the door to culture, community, and human connection. With KC Globals international reach, we look forward to exploring diverse food cultures across Asia and beyond, connecting audiences globally through storytelling that is authentic, engaging, and universally relatable.

KC Global Media Entertainment, founded by former Sony Pictures Television executives Andy Kaplan and George Chien, has built a sizable footprint in Asia through its portfolio of linear and streaming brands, including the general entertainment channel AXN, anime network Animax and Korean entertainment network ONE, alongside regional distribution and FAST initiatives. In recent years, the company has also been widening its ambitions beyond channel operations into content partnerships and international distribution.

The Eat with Xiami acquisition fits into KC Global Media Distributions broader push to scale its third-party sales business through international partnerships and travelable factual programming, building on recent moves such as a joint venture with NextTrip, Inc. to roll out the JOURNY travel-lifestyle channel across India, Southeast Asia and Australia/New Zealand.
