Cruz Abelita Signs With CESD Agency (Exclusive)-May 2024

Cruz Abelita, best known for playing Justin across three seasons on Lionsgate TVs Step Up: High Water, has signed with CESD talent agency for representation.

The dance drama was a small screen reboot of the popular Lionsgate film franchise. Step Up: High Watch, which followed the students and faculty of High Water, Atlantas most cutthroat performing arts school, ran for one season on Starz, before the next two seasons streamed on YouTubes subscription service.

The series also starred Ne-Yo, Faizon Love, Eric Graise, Terayle Hill, Enrique Murciano and Tricia Helfer. The Lionsgate TV production, after consulting with the family of the late Naya Rivera, cast Christina Milianto replace Rivera in the scripted series after the Glee star died in atragic accidentafter going boating with her young son. The films original producers Adam Shankman, Jennifer Gibgot and Meredith Milton all executive produced alongside original stars Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan and series creator and showrunner Holly Sorensen.

Step Up: High Water was shot in Atlanta, Abelitas hometown. As a rising child actor, Abelita made his feature film debut as Danny in Words on Bathroom Walls, the 2020 romance drama directed by Thor Freudenthal and also starring Charlie Plummer, Andy Garcia and Taylor Russell.

Abelitas TV credits include Disneys Haunted Mansion, Netflixs Christmas on the Square with Dolly Parton, ABCs The Wonder Years, Peacocks Please Dont Destroy, and NBCs Found, in which he played Charlie.

In addition to CESD, Abelita is represented by East Coast Talent Agency in Atlanta and Crackerjack Management in Los Angeles.
