Chicago Launches CityKey, a New Municipal ID Program-March 2024

The newChicago CityKeywill serve as an official government-issued form of identification, and will also consolidate residents’ library and Ventra cards.

The city has also partnered with cultural institutions to allow the CityKey to serve as a discount card for a variety of businesses. Among the perks currently listed: 20-percent discounts on tickets to the Chicago Sky and 10-percent discounts to select Joffrey Ballet performances.
