Elton John and Brandi Carlile are heading to primetime. The duo will star in a new concert special An Evening with Elton John and Brandi Carlile, CBS announced Tuesday.
The one-hour special is set to air on April 6 at 8 p.m. local time, and it will feature live performances, stories about the pairs friendship and a look at their upcoming album, Who Believes In Angels? John and Carlile will also perform some of their individual songs and classics from Johns discography, and Carlile will also share an unreleased track.
The special is being produced by Fulwell Entertainment, while Ben Winston, Gabe Turner and Sally Wood are serving as executive producers. It will be filmed on March 26 at Londons Palladium Theatre. It will also stream live for Paramount+ with Showtime users. Other Paramount+ users can stream next-day on the platform. Who Believes In Angels? will be released on April 4 through Interscope Records. It was produced by Andrew Watt, with Johns longtime creative collaborator Bernie Taupin contributing lyrics.
John and Carlile, who are longtime friends, recently collaborated for their Oscar-nominated song, Never Too Late, which was featured on the Disney+ documentary of the same name. The documentary recounts Johns legendary career, culminating with his final North American concert at L.A.s Dodger Stadium.

Seeing all this archival footage for a girl who didnt have an inch of bedroom wall not covered with an Elton John poster was pretty incredible for me to see. I went away really inspired, and I wanted to chronologically, musically document it. Its the first lyric that Ive ever written for Elton.
