CAA Digital Media Co-Head Frank Jung Leaves to Launch New Venture (Exclusive)-November 2024

Frank Jung, co-head of CAA Digital Media, is launching his own company, Franchise Media Collective.

Jung started CAAs digital media division alongside David Freeman, who will continue to oversee the department.Hes stepping away from the major talent agency to start the new company as a professional network and marketplace for top creators that target pivotal young digital audiences for the entertainment industry.

Franchise Media Collective will offer cultural insights, host events and provide data analytics to industry consultants, advisors and company founders. These past two decades have been a gift, collaborating with artists whose brilliance and creativity have made a deep impact on the industry. I am also immensely grateful to have worked with so many talented and inspiring CAA colleagues, creating unforgettable memories together, Jung said in a statement on Wednesday.

While with the CAA Digital Media department, Jung helped establish its talent representation, corporate advisory and strategic partnership groups serving top digital talent and creators with large and loyal followings, and media companies.Jung signed talent like comedian Jo Koy and Oscar-winning filmmaker Graham Moore.

My new company, Franchise Media Collective, is where Culture Creates Commerce, a community that will benefit all participants, paving the way for new avenues of innovation and business expansion, he added. Jung sold content to platforms like CW, Starz, IFC and TV Land, including the first scripted series on Amazon, Hulu, Yahoo, Facebook and Quibi.

He was also behind the Karate Kid revival series Cobra Kaimoving from YouTube premium platforms to Netflix for its third season.

Frank has been an exceptional colleague, thought leader and friend during his time at the agency. Knowing he will bring the same passion, care and innovation to his new business, we will all look forward to Frank creating something very special and vital in the market, CAA co-chairman Kevin Huvane said in his own statement.

Jung also serves on the boards of HRTS (The Hollywood Radio and TV Society), CAPE (Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment) and The Buckley School.
