Feb 12, 2026 1:18 AM

Company coming? Here’s an easy and elegant breakfast or brunch idea that your guests will really enjoy. It features puff pastry shells filled with egg, cheese, bacon and chopped chives!

Ingredients

Serves 6

1 package (10 ounces) Pepperidge Farm® Puff Pastry Shells

  6 large eggs

2 tablespoons shredded Cheddar Jack cheese

6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled (about 6 tablespoons)

  1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives

Step 1

Heat the oven to 400°F. Place the pastry shells onto a baking sheet.

Step 2

Bake for 20 minutes or until the pastries are golden brown and puffed. Remove the pastry shells from the baking sheet and let cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes. Remove the pastry “tops” and the soft pastry underneath and discard. Return the pastry shells to the baking sheet.

Step 3

Crack 1 egg into each pastry shell.

Step 4

Bake for 15 minutes or until the eggs are set. Top each pastry with 1 teaspoon cheese, 1 tablespoon bacon and 1/2 teaspoon chives.

TIPS

Step 5

• Place Puff Pastry shells on ungreased baking sheets with “top” facing up. Place pastry shells about 2 inches apart on baking sheet.

Step 6

• To ensure that Puff Pastry shells will rise evenly, score the sides horizontally with a small knife.

Step 7

• Unfilled baked Puff Pastry shells may be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.

Step 8

• Always bake Puff Pastry shells in a preheated 400°F oven. Do not bake shells in a microwave or a toaster oven.
