Illinois voters know a few things about their new governor, J.B. Pritzker, who took the oath of office on Monday in Springfield to become the state’s 43rd chief executive.

He's extremely wealthy. He spent huge sums of his own money on his campaign for governor. He comes from a powerhouse Chicago family.

But who is J.B. Pritker, beyond the money? What are the life events that brought him to this point? And how could they inform how he governs?
