Amid Sale or Split Uncertainty, Warner Bros. Discovery Dates 2026 Upfront For Discovery Global-December 2024

The future of Warner Bros. Discovery may be in question, but the company is proceeding as though it is business as usual for the time being.

WBD said Thursday that Discovery Global, the side of the business that will house its linear TV networks and Discovery+, will host its upfront event on Wednesday, May 13, at the Theater at Madison Square Garden.

WBD has previously announced a plan split into two companies: Discovery, which will house TNT, TBS, CNN, HGTV, Discovery and other linear channels to be led by Gunnar Weidenfels, and Warner Bros., which will house HBO, HBO Max and the WB film and TV studios, led by David Zaslav. Despite the company telling Wall Street last week that it has initiated a review of strategic alternatives to maximize shareholder value, including a possible sale of all or some of the company, it is proceeding as though the split will still happen.

Discovery will also sell advertising for the Warner Bros. side of the business, should the split go through, including for HBO Max. The upfront, should it happen, will spotlight the standalone companys vision, while also highlighting HBO Max and other Warner Bros. properties.
