Aldermen Vote, Reduce Campaign Finance Oversight-February 2024

If you're a Chicago resident, get ready to see the tax on your phone bill go up by more than 50 percent, starting this fall. A bill to raise the city phone tax passed overwhelmingly in city council; aldermen and the mayor say it's needed to help fund pension reform, and the alternative would have been worse. Paris Schutz has the latest on this and a battle brewing over who should police aldermen.
