To make a tasty cheese sauce for vegetables, add 1/2 cup shredded cheese.
Ingredients
1 cup2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
Pinch of white pepper
1 cup milk
Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in the flour, salt, and pepper. Add the milk all at once, and cook quickly, stirring constantly, until the sauce is thick and creamy.
