The new blood-soakedFear Streetmovie in the works atNetflix has unveiled its first castmembers.

Fear Street: Prom Queen will be led by India Fowler, Suzanna Son, Fina Strazza, David Iacono and Ella Rubin. Chris Klein, Lili Taylorand Katherine Waterston round out the ensemble cast of Matt Palmers genre film.

Palmer and Donald McLeary are adapting the novel from R.L. Stines popular Fear Street book series, with Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and Kori Adelson producing for Chernin Entertainment. Fear Street: Prom Queen will be set during prom season at Shadyside High, as the schools wolfpack of It Girls is busy with its usual sweet and vicious campaigns for the crown, according to its logline. But when a gutsy outsider is unexpectedly nominated to the court, and the other girls start mysteriously disappearing, the class of 88 is suddenly in for one hell of a prom night.

The project will be the fourthFear Streetmovie adapted from Stines novels. The trilogy consisting ofFear Street Part One: 1994,Fear Street Part Two: 1978andFear Street Part Three: 1666 was previously released on Netflix over three consecutive weeks in 2021 and spent 12 collective weeks on the Netflix Top 10.

The films span multiple subgenres, particularly the slasher and supernatural subgenres. Leigh Janiak directed them from scripts she co-wrote with other contributors. The Fear Street trilogy followed a group of teenagers who discover terrifying events that have haunted their town for generations may all be connected, according to its logline.

The executive producers for Fear Street: Prom Queen include Yvonne Bernard, Joan Waricha, Jane Stine and CarolinePitofsky.
